How to Join

The Portland User Interface Special Interest Group hosts a monthly usability meeting, open to Internet and software professionals in the Portland, Oregon area.

The meeting offers a venue for guest companies to tap the minds and experiences of a multi-disciplinary group of professionals who focus on the user experience. The group is attended by organizations including Hewlett-Packard, ColumbiaSoft, First Tech Credit Union, Daimler-Chrysler, Intel, Metro, OHSU, WebTrends, US Bank and others in addition to creative folks from ad, PR, web agencies and consultants in the Portland metro area.

To join, simply sign-up with the form to the right of this page. Or volunteer to have your Web site or application reviewed by the group by contacting the group’s moderator Frank Spillers at 503.978.9183 . There is no charge currently for the usability review.

Who should attend: Anyone who has an interest in understanding the strategic value of usability as relates to marketing and design strategy on your website, software application or product. The group is attended by senior managers, marketing, development, consultants and usability specialists.
