Join us for July's usability review of the Peter Kiewit Institute Website. The PKI Website provides information for students, industry partners and collaborators as well as the general public. The Peter Kiewit Institute is home to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Engineering and the University of Nebraska at Omaha's College of Information Science and Technology.

Join us as we review the website usability of an academic and industry center of excellence. In this meeting, we will review the usability (Layout, font, graphics, navigation, content organization etc.) of a website about to undergo a redesign. We will review essential usability guidelines, standards and techniques for getting the site's users to content on the site more easily and efficiently. In addition we will discuss how to bridge the gap between an older site and new Web 2.0/ social media strategies now commonplace on many websites.

What is UI-SIG?

The Portland User Interface Special Interest Group is a group of internet, software and product development professionals who meet monthly to learn more about usability and user experience. Each month, we invite a company to present their Web site, product or application at our hands-on round table review meeting.
